Approving Languages in the LanguageBook

Only LanguageBook administrators may review and approve languages in the LanguageBook.

Approving Languages in the Task List

New languages and updates are automatically assigned to LanguageBook administrators to approve as a task.

  1. On the left-side, click the Task () icon. A list of tasks will be displayed.
  2. Click a task in the list to view the details.

  3. The metadata for the language will be listed on the right. You can take the following actions:
    1. Click Approve to approve it. This will approve and publish the language in the approved LanguageBook in the Domain where other users may view it.
    2. If some required fields are missing metadata that Correlation Language administrators should add, click Hold. This will create a task for Correlation Language administrators with a note that some required information is missing. The status of the language in the list will indicate "Hold." Correlation Language administrators can then add the missing information and return it to you as a task for approval. The task will be titled "Missing Fields." Check that the missing information is filled-in, and then click OKAY. This will approve and publish the language.

    1. If you would like to add or edit other metadata before approving it, go back to the language list in Master Data, locate the language in the list, and fill-in the information (see Editing LanguageBook Metadata). Then return to this task to approve the language.

For explanations of the metadata fields, see LanguageBook Metadata.

Publishing Languages When Viewing Language Details

While on the language details, you can publish a language. This may be necessary when other metadata has been added or a status has been updated.

  1. Open the language in the Master Data LanguageBook list (see Editing LanguageBook Metadata).
  2. At the top right, click the Publish () icon. This will publish or re-publish the language in the approved LanguageBook in the Domain.

Note: To see the publish history for a language, in the language details, click the Publishing tab at the top.
